Happy Tuesday...
So, a few Sundays ago we had breakfast at this adorable new restaurant just a few blocks from our house -by the way the food is amazing..I will have to do a review about it soon- this place is so pretty. It's like Cape Cod and The Hampton's had a baby and they named it Queenstown Public House, I seriously wanted to live there...
Oh yes!...all I kept thinking about was 'I want my house to look like that'...so I went on ahead and started doing my research. Again my house is little, so everything has to fit...I think the capacity occupancy is 12 people no joke! and it's OLD..it was probs built in 1942, I don't have enough storage, the windows get stuck every time I open them I have to spend five minutes trying to close them and to top it off....MY FLOORS ARE SLANTED. I remember when I moved in, every time Chris walked through the front door he would make this comment.."and it's all downhill from here"..... but with everything said and done, I love this house, slanted floors and all, it's charming. I feel like one of the three little pigs..
Well, here are some ideas that I kinda, maybe fell in love with....
We are planing to build a lot of the furniture ourselves, since everything has to be made to fit. Let me be clear, I have never built anything my entire life so this is all new to me. All the projects I find easy and less expensive I will share....
Jen's house is adorable. I love the colors, storage ideas and some DIY projects are easy to follow. |
Wish me luck. I will post before and after pics later on in the next week or two...
Sincerely
K.
